A short drive into Pine Mountain, GA will lead you to quaint restaurants and small town shops in the small downtown shopping area.
Pine Mountain’s premier attraction, Callaway Gardens, also has much to offer including golf, fishing, swimming in the largest man-made beach, the butterfly center, bike trails, zip lines, The Masters Water-Ski Tournament and the Holiday’s Fantasy of Lights to name only a few. Pine Mountain’s Wild Animal Safari is also a lot of fun for the family. When you have done all that take a hike in FDR park which is the beginning of the Appalachian Trail. Great views can be found atop the mountain of Pine Mountain and Pine Mountain Valley as well.
Other close attractions a short drive away include FDR’s Little White House, historic Warm Springs and the Ft. Benning National Army Museum just south of Columbus, GA.
